What our clients say.

Sandy pours her heart and soul into working with our gifted kiddos. She is kind, caring and nurturing. She is knowledgeable as to their social-emotional and educational needs…for one of our kiddos, her Genius Hour Passion Projects proved to be a meaningful learning experience. Experiences such as this are, and continue to be, necessary in order for him to grow and become a successful adult.

I can’t recommend Sandy and her commitment to kids enough!

Danielle K., Parent

I can not express how much of a joy it was to be in her classroom. The environment was one that cultivated creativity, while also pushing students to get better every day. We did so many hands-on projects that allowed me to be expressive and have fun, while learning and stretching my mind to new lengths.

She was also incredibly personable and created a safe space for students to be in, which I valued greatly as a student.

Delaney C., Former Student

A master of differentiation, Sandy is perhaps the best teacher I have ever worked with when it comes to personalizing learning for students and creating both scaffolding and enrichment that respond in real time to formative assessment in order to meet students where they are. Her creativity and willingness to take risks lead her students to truly engaging learning experiences.

She is compassionate, kind, and open-minded, which her students see; she is known  for creating a safe space for kids to feel accepted and supported.

Shannon S., Teacher

We also help parents & educators.

Wish your gifted kid came with a manual? They can be intense…and their ‘gifts’ seem, sometimes, to actually be challenges.

You want them to live the best life possible. What can you do?

The Bean Center offers a variety of parent programming to help you navigate this path and meet parents in the same boat.

We help families advocate for their gifted students, better understand them so they can raise them effectively, and even guide them in seeking resources for their twice-exceptional gifted students.

Parent Support

Serving gifted students seem like ‘one more thing’ for teachers and staff to navigate? We get it.

That’s why The Bean Center works with administrators and faculty to:

Design programming for gifted and high achieving students.

Train staff to better serve gifted students.

Design programming to better meet the needs of all students, using formative assessment, assessment data and differentiation.

Audit, expand, and better implement gifted services.

Educator Support

About

Meet Sandy Bean, our founder and your learning coach!

Sandy Bean, the founder and curriculum developer behind The Bean Center, is an energetic, experienced, gifted-certified veteran educator, national speaker, writer, curriculum developer, and momma of four. She is here for you as a consultant, staff trainer, program implementation resource, and coach for parents, teachers, and the students who motivate her every day.

Throughout her career, Sandy has always been interested in the differences gifted students display and the unique challenges of navigating the world with a gifted brain (she herself was part of programs growing up). In her classroom, she worked hard to differentiate for her students through compacting, choice, assessment, and interest, and saw firsthand the value-added impact of these strategies.
